| | I've got to make this short and sweet because I need to go to bed. After school workout was 5x1000's and 3 minutes. For an hour Eric, Hayden, and I shoveled on one lane in the track which was really hard. When we started running it was really hard to hit 3 minutes because of the snow which still made it a bit slippery and our lines weren't exactly straight. Decent workout. Didn't cool down because it was getting late.
6 miles at the Sports Academy on the treadmills. First 3 were in 18:05 and the next 3 miles was in 17:32. The treadmill takes a couple minutes to start going at the speed I wanted so it added some time. Finished off with some leg work on the machines, and a tiny bit of shoulders. Good workout. I bet I will be pretty sore tomorrow.

| | Today was not that memorable day for running. During lunch I wouldn't stop downing food because I was starving, and I could definitely feel it during my run. The workout was a moderate paced 6 miles. I didn't have my watch so I couldn't keep pace, so Hayden did with his watch. My stomach was not feeling good and and sometimes I just felt like throwing up. Made the run tough, but we still managed to stay under 6:30 for each mile, with our fastest mile being 6:05. No Sports Academy tonight. Me legs are pretty sore from lifting. Gonna go watch the Sky View and Mountain Crest game and maybe chat after with the sv kids. Peace. |

| | Today's workout Don wanted us to do 30, 60, 90, 120 second hill repeats up the hill in Providence near the top of Center street. I wasn't really sure what to expect since this would be my first hill repeat workout since September. No explanation needed, you all know why. While starting, it was quite obvious to see that I have lost a lot of strength on hills which used to be my thing. By the time the 2 minute interval came, I was dead. But I still pushed hard and got near to the very top. I remember where I would get when I did this workout during the cross country season. So it shows that I got a lot of work to do to get caught back up. After we finished we ran to Don's house where we chatted for a couple minutes with him. Then we cooled down to 3 miles.
Went to the Sports Academy tonight to run and lift. The plan was 6 miles, First 3 miles I finished it 17:05 which felt pretty good. Took of couple minutes for a drink break and started running again. On my second set my first mile I finished in 6:45, but right before I finished that mile I told myself that I would push hard on the 2nd mile of that set. So right when it hit 1 mile (6:45) I tossed up the speed to 12 mph. It actually didn't feel too hard and I finished the next mile at (11:45) which just so happens to be 5 minutes flat. Wish I would've turned the speed up a little more at the end to break 5, but I don't really care. Took 1 more short break then finished with a 1 mile cooldown so I could finish with 9 miles for the day. I wish my milage was more built up and my body was more used to it because I would have done a couple miles more, but I live in fear of stress fractures and over usage injuries. When I was finished I did some leg curls, and bunch of other weights for my legs. Pretty succesful day. Gonna take it easier for the rest of the week so I feel good for BYU.

| | Easy 4 miles to the turkey sheds with Hayden, Trey, and Eric. My calves were sore so I took it really really easy. Didn't have my watch so I don't know what my pace was. Felt really good outside.
2 really easy miles at the Sports Academy. Ran at an 8 minute mile pace which is probably the easiest I have ran in a while. After I finished my legs weren't as sore so it felt good. Before I left I turned up the speed to 15 mph which is a 4 minute mile pace and ran 400 meters. That goes by so fast at that pace. Shot some hoops after.

2016 BYU HS Indoor 3200m (2 Miles) 00:10:03, Place overall: 2, Place in age division: 2 | | Didn't get very much sleep at all which sucked, but I got to nap on the way down to BYU so that was nice. I've never ran on the indoor track at BYU, but I love it. Probably the sickest track the I have ever ran on. When we got there we set up camp and chilled for a while until we had to warm up for the mile. All day long I had been experiencing digestion problems which made running a bit of a challenge. Fiber is the enemy... Not gonna go into much detail about that. When we started the mile got out to a good start but just wasn't feeling that good because of what was happening and by the 3rd lap out of 5 I seriously contemplated dropping out. Really tightened up and just made pushing myself as hard as I could difficult. Finished with a 4:47. I wasn't really too happy with it, but it was alright. Cooldown and chilled then got lunch. Had a pretty long wait for the 2 mile. Finally got to warm ups and I still was having the same problem. Just not as bad as earlier in the day. Wasn't quite sure how I would do in the 2 mile. I tried to stay relax and try my best not to tighten up in the shoulders. Opened up in 57 seconds. (350m track btw) Each of my laps were pretty consistent around 61 seconds. I really focused on letting my long legs do a lot of the work by just trying to get bigger strides. Ethan widened a gap between me and him with a couple laps left, but that last lap I made up a lof of ground. Finished 2nd to him by 3 seconds. My time was 10:03 which I was happy with because it's a p.r. and I only have about 4 weeks of training in me right now. So there is a lot of room for improvement. I had an awesome day racing and being with all my friends. I'm so happy I get to do this every weekend for a couple weeks. Looking forward to the next meet on Saturday at Weber.
