Today we got Joe to come run with us, so that was good to see him run. We didn't want to run in Hyrum, so we stopped at my house in Nibley and did one of my favorite routes. Even though there was a tiny bit of snow coming down, the air felt really good, and at one point it got too hot, so we took off our shirts. We did 6 miles at a moderate to sub 6 minute pace. It was really weird because I wasn't feeling way good, but at the same time I wasn't feeling fatigued so I was able to run in the high 5's for some of those miles. After we finished those 6 miles we did a slow mile cooldown which felt really nice. Later on after our workout I found out that we were supposed to just do 10 at a moderate pace all in one run. I didn't know, so I decided that I had to make up for my mistake and run again. I went to the Sports Academy and did a 4 mile, mile interval workout. My legs were a bit fatigued, but I tried to silence the negative thoughts in my mind. On my slow miles I was doing around a 6:30-6:40 pace. On my harder miles I was going around a 5:50-6:00 minute mile pace. They weren't way hard miles, but since my legs were pretty fatigued, I still got a pretty good workout. After I lifted weights and did a lot of leg excercises. I sat up after doing leg curls, and everything turned black and I almost passed out. I was lifting as hard as I could for a while, so I see why. Did some core, and then finished with a mile in 6 minutes on the treadmill. This week I am going to try to increase my mileage so I can have a better base for track. For two weeks I barley got past 30 miles, and that's not good at all. Peace.
