Today was just like yesterday, warm and beautiful outside. I was really excited to start my workout. After running in the cold and on a treadmill for a couple months you get really excited to get weather like this. Our workout today was a 5 mile progression run where every mile is 15 seconds faster than the last. First we warmed up for a mile to Canyon Elementary and back, then we started. We headed towards the Hyrum stake center. The slower miles were no problem at all and felt really really good. Just as if I were warming up. It started getting hot so I took my shirt off which felt good. When we started getting into the 5's I was still feeling great, and by the time we had our last hard mile which was at 5:15 pace, I hit that no problem. My mile splits were, 6:18, 6:10 (idk why we were slow on that one) 5:48, 5:31, (for the 5:15 mile pace mile I had to stop and tie my shoe which took a good 20 seconds because I kept on fumbling my laces and I forgot to stop my watch but my last split was 5:33. I would've hit 5:15. This was a pretty easy workout today. I have been feeling awesome the past couple days. I am gonna be one happy person if I continue to feel like this. I haven't felt this good since the beginnning of cross country, so that's a good sign.
